"Hypothetically Speaking"


So, there's a conundrum that I've been wondering about, and I wanted to get some feedback. Basic Uber/Lyft Rules state that the maximum number of passengers can't exceed the number of available seat belts. So, for my Prius, that's a maximum of 4 passengers, plus me the driver. As you can imagine, even 5 people in my Prius is a squeeze, so my conundrum is thus..... Hypothetically speaking, of course.....

* Suppose it was a very dead day, and revenue for the last couple of hours is off more than 20%. It's been dead overall, so they would probably be accepting every ride.

*Suppose they were driving around the dreaded Old Town Scottsdale (Short Rides), and they got a ping, but when they arrived, there are 6 people. Would you take them?

* Suppose they weren't going very far, and did I mention that the day was dead, and the Uber Driver could really use the revenue? How about now?

* Suppose they were all slightly inebriated College age females? How about now?

* Suppose they were going to a pool party, and were wearing robes over speedo or bikini swimsuits? How about now?

* Suppose when they piled in, one of the women tickled the top of The Uber Driver's head and commented that they had really nice hair (WHEW!). How about now?

Anyway, I'm not saying ANY of this happened, because packing the car with 6 people would have been a violation of both Uber and Lyft rules, so NONE of that occurred (cough), I'm just saying that "Some Uber Driver Guy", who was having an off $ day, who has a thing for young beautiful women, especially when they flatter him, just MIGHT agree to take them. Hypothetically Speaking, of course :-)

1. There are 2 things that you never talk about with the PAX. Religion, and Politics. The reason is, that everyone has very strong opinions on those 2 topics, and if their opinions agree with mine, then fine, but if not, it makes for an uncomfortable ride, and low ratings. Classy Mom, Classy Daughter

One of my secrets for Uber Driving, is to plan my idle time to occur, if I can, around the Malls. There are tons of people there, and many of them need rides home, with their "stuff". So, awhile back, I'm driving West on Camelback Rd in Scottsdale, and I get this ping to Nordstroms at The Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale. The phone rings, it's the passenger "Saul" who tells me I'm picking up his employee "Dianna" and her daughter. Fine with me, I pull up, they come outside, and get in. The Mom, I'm guessing, is late 30's, to early 40's and is classically dressed. Also, I'm no expert, but I note 1 or 2 designer labels, and I doubt they're fake. She's also just happens to be drop dead GORGEOUS! The daughter is preteen, blonde, and blue eyed, with Shirley Temple looks, and apparently is a happy child. Watch Out For The RB

Many of my Rideshare stories are going to be happy ones. After all, when you're happy, it's infectious, and I'm a pretty happy person. So that's how it usually works out with my Riders (PAX). Happy, Happy all around. Not so, this particular PAX. I'm way up in the North Valley, around the area of Deer Vally, if you know the area. Not just anywhere in Deer Valley, but the last PAX I dropped off lived apparently practically in the middle of freeking nowhere. Fat chance of getting a ride way the heck up here, right? So I head back towards the freeway, and hopefully civilization, when I do get a ping, 7 minutes away. That's within my "10 minute max" parameter for going to get a PAX, so I aceept.
